In reply to Jackie. It should work if you hit reserve at 7am. However, if you are trying to book for a very popular time, you'll be competing with thousands of other people doing the same thing so you still might get an error message since the system can't book two people for the same site at once. You can get everyone in your group to go online at the same time to increase your chances of getting a site. Good luck.

On the BC Parks camping reservation page, for backcountry reservations, do you hit the blue “add to stay” button before 7:00, and then hit “reserve” at 7:00? Or do you need to hit “add to stay” at 7:00, and then “reserve” following that. I’ve tried both options on different days, and still can’t get the system to work. I had endless error messages this morning. The site is sos frustrating.

In reply to Jake. You need to be on the BC Parks site ready book right at 7am. I recommend practicing making your booking (click through all the steps all the way up to checkout but don't checkout) so you know what to expect when it comes times to book.

Do you have any tips for being on the system in time to book the camp sites that book right away (like garibaldi)? Should I be on a certain page right at 7am?

In reply to Barry A.. It really varies by location. In some places there are wooden tent platforms, in others there are packed dirt tent pads. In some places there are a mix.

In the parks, are all the tent sites [pads] wooden platforms, or are there places where you can set your tent up on the ground itself?
